This abandoned church at Ayot St Lawrence, falling into a state of disrepair was shown to me by Richard who I first met at Clophill church. He had taken some photographs within the church and after being developed had found they contained strange glowing light areas, (Richard was by trade a freelance photographer) and claims he did not doctor them.

I went to this church on a couple of occasions, It is easy to find as it stands on the main road through the village of Ayot St Lawrence.
Follow road signs from the village of Welwyn or brown signs for "Shaw's Corner".
On one of the occasions, I managed to take a strange photograph of ghostly mist that wasn't visible at the time. After several experiments I think I found the cause of the mist, though I could never be 100% sure.
A cigarette burning, either being held by myself while taking the photograph or by someone standing by my side, produced very similar results.
I would have liked to add this photograph to the page but it seems to have disappeared.
