I think I must have passed out for a while, but when I came round I had a sense of not being alone, I also felt warm (This was strange as it was the start of winter). It was a strange sensation, I don't remember feeling scared. As soon as I began to move away from the area I had been sitting in, I began to feel cold and hung over.
Over the next 3 or 4 years I would visit the same spot on many occasions, mainly when I felt sad or depressed, usually after a beer or two. Every time the depression would lift and I would start to feel good. I felt as though on most occasions there were two presence around me. I still wouldn't know whether to call them, kind ghosts, Spirits or Guardian angels.
I later moved away from the area for four years and when I returned, I again tried to find these (Spirits). I was by this point far wiser about the Paranormal and Withcraft, but I never have felt those same presences.
The cemetery is still a place of strange comfort, where I will go for a walk if I have something weighing on my mind. It is almost as if I can think clearly while in this place, like a place of power such as Stonehenge or that special place I have on Dartmoor.
There is a belief in a lot of sections of the (paranormal) society, which believe that Guardian Angels, for want of a better description, appear to those that need help in certain portions of there life.While I didn't actually see a physical body to these presence I most definitely could sense and feel them around me. As a troubled teen these (Guardian Angels) did help me through my teenage years.
Looking back, this would probably be the place that first got me interested in ghosts and the paranormal. At night for young teenagers it is probably one of the most scary places in the world.
On Halloween for several years we would have tests of courage to see who would dare walk through the cemetery alone. My first haunting/paranormal experience occurred in this cemetery.
The first time it happened I would say I was about 14 years old. I had an argument with my mum about going to a party and getting drunk and so being a typical teenager I went to the party and got incredibly drunk. A short cut home from the party was to go through the cemetery, When you can barely walk and need to get to your bed, the short cut seemed like a good idea. However I wasn't looking forward to getting into another row with my mum when I got in, so I decided to have a short rest in the cemetery and let some of the booze wear off.
